Les Allen

Can someone give me the year of death of Les Allen, the 1930s vocalist / crooner?

Born in 1902 he should be now, if he's still alive, 104 years old.

You would think this would be easier to find, because he's the same Leslie
Allen who owned a number of radio stations around the Toronto area, with his
brother Harry, but I haven't found a date yet. Maybe on the CAB web..will check later.

Thanks to Jack Litchfield, who's the fellow I should have asked in the first place, I have the final entry for Les Allen. Per the Toronto Star, he died June 25, 1996. He was interviewed a couple of times as part of a project on the New Princes' Toronto Band, the last interview being on April 16/96.
